Polish defense technology company FlyFocus unveiled a new precision loitering munition called TASACK on September 8 at MSPO 2026, the international defense industry exhibition in Kielce, Poland, positioning the system as a lower-cost, easier-to-operate alternative to conventional first-person-view attack drones.

The 15-kilogram (33-pound) aircraft can fly up to 110 kilometers (68 miles), carries a 5-kilogram (11-pound) payload, and reaches speeds of up to 300 km/h (186 mph), according to FlyFocus. Unlike typical FPV drones, which require operators to manually fly the aircraft using first-person video and extensive training, TASACK uses what the company calls a point-and-click interface, letting an operator select a target on screen rather than pilot the drone by hand into it.

A stabilized electro-optical and infrared gimbal handles target identification and tracking, and lets the drone approach a target from different angles, from a flat, direct trajectory to a near-vertical dive, depending on what the mission calls for. FlyFocus says the system achieves a targeting accuracy of 1 meter CEP50, a measure of how tightly half of a weapon’s strikes cluster around the intended aim point. The drone runs on electric power, can stay airborne for up to 1.5 hours, and maintains a datalink out to 80 kilometers (50 miles). Navigation combines GPS with inertial guidance as a backup, with radio-based navigation available as an option, and the modular airframe can be fitted with different warheads depending on the mission. FlyFocus says the system can be readied for launch in five to seven minutes.

“TASACK has been designed around what we believe matters most for this class of system: precision, simplicity and the ability to manufacture at meaningful scale,” said Igor Skawiński, CEO and co-founder of FlyFocus. “Modern militaries need sophisticated capabilities, but they also need systems that can be produced affordably, deployed quickly and adapted as battlefield conditions change. Our objective with TASACK is to bring those requirements together in one platform.”

Most of TASACK’s components, including its gimbal, are built in Poland, continuing a supply chain approach FlyFocus has followed since its founding. The company, established in 2017 by Skawiński and Albert Świerczyński, has built its product line around NATO-aligned components rather than the Chinese-made parts, such as batteries and flight controllers, that dominate much of the broader European drone industry. FlyFocus raised its first institutional funding round in February, a €4.5 million ($5.3 million) round led by ffVC with participation from the NCBR Investment Fund, Poland’s state-run research and development investment arm, which the company is using in part to build a new manufacturing facility in Poland.

TASACK joins a portfolio that already includes the Polaris ISR drone, the tethered CableGuard surveillance system, and the Striker deep-strike loitering munition, a much larger system with a stated range exceeding 1,000 kilometers (621 miles) and a payload of up to 40 kilograms (88 pounds) that FlyFocus tested near Kyiv in June, with what the company described as positive feedback from Ukrainian operators. TASACK shares a common ground control interface with those existing platforms, which FlyFocus says reduces the retraining needed when operators switch between systems. Both the Polish and Ukrainian defense ministries are current FlyFocus customers, and the company has said its systems have seen use in Ukraine under combat conditions.

FlyFocus said TASACK is expected to reach production readiness in the first quarter of 2027.
