Warsaw, 18 September 2026. MBF Group S.A. and Shark Aviation marked the Polish and European debut of IRYDA+ X1 at MSPO 2026 in Kielce, presenting an unmanned aircraft within a broader system architecture. Alongside the platform, the programme centres on IRYDA GCS, its ground control environment, and dedicated semiconductor components designed by Shark Aviation. According to MBF Group, these chips are manufactured exclusively in Taiwan under a detailed agreement governing their production and supply chain.

For international defence technology audiences, the distinction is significant: the programme combines an aircraft with the software and electronics needed to develop a wider family of integrated solutions. The Taiwan-only manufacturing provision applies specifically to the semiconductor components covered by the agreement; it does not describe the origin of every component in the aircraft or ground station.

IRYDA GCS provides the ground-based environment for planning missions and supervising their execution. The development concept envisages its integration with fixed-wing, rotary-wing and vertical take-off and landing platforms. Each configuration requires appropriate engineering, verification and qualification for its intended application.

X1 is the first publicly presented aircraft in this approach and a practical technology demonstrator. By developing a common control environment, the partners aim to apply software and integration expertise across different airframes and customer requirements. The associated IRYDA CHIPSET concept supplies a complementary hardware foundation, supported by the contractually defined chain from chip design and Taiwan-based manufacturing to delivery for integration.

The MSPO appearance followed the successful first-phase demonstration held in Konya, Türkiye, on 19 July 2026. All five prototype aircraft completed their assigned profiles. The demonstration included autonomous flights and two aircraft carrying out separate missions simultaneously under one operator’s supervision from a single ground control station.
The trials verified the basic control and mission-planning architecture in flight. The two aircraft followed independent mission plans without direct aircraft-to-aircraft data exchange. These results provide a basis for further development, while customer-specific equipment, integration and qualification remain part of the subsequent engineering process.

The presentation took place on 8 September during the national scientific conference “Dual-Use Technologies as a Factor in Strengthening National Defence and Economic Development”. MBF Group President Janusz Czarnecki joined the opening panel chaired by Professor Paweł Soroka. Robert Krassowski, Executive Representative and COO of MBF Group, and ęaban Abur, President of Shark Aviation, delivered “Iryda Yesterday and Today: The Example of a Dual-Use Drone”, covering X1 and GCS.

The programme also listed Professor Hanna Bogucka of Poznań University of Technology, General Bogusław Bębenek representing ARMPOL, Colonel Michał Kalisiak of the War Studies University and Professor IRYDA GCSof ITB MORATEX, placing the debut within a wider scientific and industrial discussion.

MBF Group, listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange’s NewConnect market, plans to support the project’s next stage through a share capital increase. The intended funding would support GCS and chipset development, integration work, testing and preparation for commercial deployment. The proposed financing remains subject to the required corporate procedures; it is not presented as completed funding.
