Israel’s Elbit Systems has won a contract worth about $235 million to supply PULS rocket artillery launchers and EXTRA-MR precision-guided rockets to an unnamed European country, along with additional rocket artillery platforms and integrated logistics support, the company said. Elbit did not identify the customer or say how many launchers and rockets the deal covers, and it gave no delivery schedule. EXTRA-MR is a medium-range member of Elbit’s EXTRA family of guided rockets, designed to hit high-value targets at up to 80 km (50 miles), and the company says it can work with the command-and-control systems armies already use to find and assign targets. PULS, short for Precise and Universal Launching System, is a truck-mounted launcher that carries two interchangeable pods, each loaded with a different munition, so the same vehicle can fire 122 mm and 160 mm Accular rockets out to about 35 to 40 km, full-size EXTRA rockets out to 150 km, or Predator Hawk missiles out to 300 km. The launcher can be fitted to a range of wheeled and tracked platforms, which lets armies put it on trucks they already operate. The system has become one of the main European competitors to the U.S.-made HIMARS. The Netherlands ordered 20 PULS launchers in a $305 million deal, The Defence Blog reported, while Denmark received eight launchers under a 2023 contract and Germany placed a $57 million order in early 2025 for its EuroPULS version, developed with KNDS. Greece became the latest major buyer in April 2026, when Elbit announced a $750 million contract covering launchers, rockets, loitering munitions and ten years of support for the Hellenic Armed Forces under a defense agreement between Israel and Greece. Outside NATO, Serbia ordered PULS launchers in 2024 in a deal worth about $335 million. Elbit has kept European customers anonymous before, including in 2025, when it announced a $130 million contract to supply training rockets and precision-guided Accular, EXTRA and Predator Hawk munitions to an unnamed European PULS operator. Israel’s ground forces have used PULS since 2020 under the name Lahav, mounted on a U.S.-made HEMTT heavy truck.
