The agreement strengthens Nordic defence materiel cooperation and creates further opportunities for the adoption of interoperable HF communications solutions across the Nordic countries, including Danish Armed Forces.
“KNL’s Cognitive Networked HF radios address the growing need for reliable long-range communications. We are pleased to welcome Denmark to the agreement alongside Finland and Sweden. A shared CNHF capability can provide the Nordic countries with an interoperable technological foundation that can be integrated into both national and NATO communications architectures,” says Toni Lindén, CEO of KNL.
To date, three orders for CNHF systems with a combined value of approximately EUR 23.5 million have been publicly announced under the Framework Agreement.
The NORDEFCO Framework Agreement is valid until 2035, after which it will automatically continue for successive one-year periods. All NORDEFCO countries, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden, are eligible to join the agreement.
